A photo mosaic is a picture produced by arranging smaller tile photos to form a vibrant larger picture When viewed at low magnifications, the individual pixels appear as the main image, while close examination reveals that the image is in fact made up of many hundreds or thousands of smaller images. 3) WHAT IS REQUIRED TO PLACE AN ORDER?

The only thing required to place an order is digital pictures on your computer. If you have a digital camera you almost certainly have digital pictures on your computer. If you cannot find your pictures, they are most likely in your My Pictures directory inside My Documents.

4) HOW MANY PHOTOS DO I NEED TO MAKE A PHOTO MOSAIC?

At least two photos: one large photo for the background and then one smaller photo that will be multiplied to create the larger photo. However, the more photos the better. You tell us which photo you want as the background and the rest will be used to create the mosaic.

5) HOW DO I GET MY PHOTOS TO YOU?

You can send your photos to us via e-mail or by mail on a CD/disk. Please mark the package as “Photo Mosaic” PO BOX 2012 Biddeford, Maine 04005. Unfortunately, we will not be able to return any of your CD’s, so please only send us a copy of your photos.

6) CAN I VIEW MY MOSAIC BEFORE I ORDER IT?

Absolutely! We will contact you when your mosaic is ready to view. It will be posted onto a secure/password protected gallery on www.sc-artistry.com. From there, you can view and purchase your mosaic(s). Your secure/password protected gallery will be effective for 14 days from the day it is uploaded to the Website.

7) WHAT IF I WANT TO MAKE CHANGES TO MY MOSAIC AFTER I ORDERED IT?

No problem. Simply send us an e-mail or contact us by phone and we will make any changes you like. We want your mosaic to be exactly what you where imagining and we will work closely with you to accomplish that goal.

PHOTO MOSAIC PRINT OPTIONS

Giclée Canvas

Giclée Prints are made with high-quality archival inks on fine art papers using a high-resolution large format inkjet printer. The premium inks produce images with smooth tones and rich colors, making these prints ideal for extraordinary presentations.

The Giclée process enables us to print directly onto museum-quality canvas material, so prints will not separate over time. There are three different mounting options: Canvas Wrap, Canvas Stretch/Staple, and Canvas Board. Protective spray coating is applied to the surface of each print to help prevent scratches and other damage.

A. Canvas Wrap prints are a stylish, low-cost alternative to traditional framing wherein the print is wrapped around a stretcher frame so that 1 3/4" of the photo's edges are visible on the sides of the frame. Delivered display-ready with hanging hardware attached.

B. Canvas Stretch / Staple mounting is a unique way to display your images like a fine art canvas. The print is stretched to the edge of a 1 3/4" thick wooden frame, and stapled around the edges, leaving the full image on the front. Suitable for framing.

C. Canvas Board prints are mounted onto sturdy Gator Foamboard, a very rigid foamboard and lightweight backing with a white finish.

Standard Prints

Glossy: printed on coated paper with a very smooth, shiny reflective surface. Glossy finishes have a high-contrast appearance. shiny finish, vibrant colors and images will be crisp and sharp.

Lustre: is considered more of a professional-grade paper. Lustre has a slight gloss with a subtle, often pearl-like texture. Lustre paper has a deeper color-saturation than matte, has a higher contrast and is thicker than consumer paper.

Metallic: With a glossy finish and unique metallic appearance, these prints have extra visual interest and depth. They are printed on long-lasting Kodak Professional Endura Metallic paper. This paper uses a proprietary combination of film laminate layers that produce striking, three-dimensional, lasting images on an ultra-bright background.

*All of our photographs are professionally printed using the most state-of-the-art photo-finishing equipment. Only genuine Kodak Supra Endura (luster finish), Kodak Edge (glossy finish) and Kodak Endura Professional (metallic prints) papers are used for our prints, which enable us to produce prints with a quality equal to those taken with a 35mm camera. The above-mentioned Kodak papers are designed to last for generations. Kodak’s tested light-keeping is equivalent to 100 years before noticeable fading occurs in a typical home display, and over 200 years in dark storage.
